Retail Development Initiative
In Northeast Georgia, all roads lead to Gainesville making Gainesville-Hall County an
excellent retail location to serve the growing population of Hall County and the Northeast
Georgia mountains. Gainesville is already the regional center for financial and medical
services, and the Gainesville-Hall County Leadership dedicated a new economic
initiative to increase retail activity. This effort will serve to:
- Enhance the quality of life for residents in the region
- Complement Gainesville-Hall County’s position as a tourism destination
- Diversify the commercial tax base and the economy
- Attract important sales tax dollars to support SPLOST initiatives for education & infrastructure
The Gainesville-Hall County Economic Development Council and the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce
will facilitate public-private partnerships between government and developers and support retail
development with timely and accurate information.
